SecretaryÕs Report: Previous minutes read and accepted with no changes.
(The switch for the lights was discovered to be at the corner of Court 3.)
TreasurerÕs Report:
No audit yet. Bea Bohm volunteered to perform the audit. Don will follow-up.
The
Valentine Dance resulted in a net loss of $797.
Membership Report:
There are now 213 members, 4 of which are social.
Mailings will no longer be able to go out using the CAÕs permit. Each club will have to acquire its own permit at a cost of $360 per year. We will use e-mail for now with items hand carried to the 16 people who donÕt have e-mail.
The bylaws require us to notify members of meetings at least 5 days prior to any meeting, so speed is essential when using the e-mail process. This may be a problem. We will check with Jack Baytos.
Some E-mails are stripped of important graphics that enhance invitations and announcements. Again, check with Jack.
General membership will be asked about e-mail vs US mail on March 11.
A person to back up Jack may be desirable.
The report to the CA, including our membersÕ CA membership numbers, has been sent.
Del suggested rearranging the bulletin board at the courts to make the announcements and notices more prominent. He will take care of this.
The
telephone roster of our members is printable from the TA web site.
PresidentÕs Report:
Vacant EB position: Ann Skinner volunteered to serve. Motion made by Don and seconded by Del to nominate Ann for the vacant position. Passed unanimously.
Next meeting March 11, a general meeting and social.
The BoardÕs function is to serve as liaison, so the chair people of various functions need not be members of the board, and the Board member(s) responsible for any given area need not actually do any or all of the work.
Next
EB meeting April 6 at 3:30 instead of 1:30.
Social Activities Report:
Valentine Dance, see above. Also, comments were mixed regarding the food and the music. Some said best ever, others said the opposite. The caterers were noted to be very accommodating. Suggestion made to request written comments as people leave future events.
March 11: arrangements are complete. Music by WhistlerÕs Journey at a cost of $350.
March 20 Funfest: 2 kinds of pizza, plain (cheese) and pepperoni at $1.00 per slice. Also philly cheese steak at $2.00. Drinks (water and soda) at $1.00. Pizza vendor to get $150 plus 50% of sales.

November 29 General Meeting:
so far the music has been arranged (Tony and Tricia) and the hall is reserved.
Around the Table:
Donna suggested having some times after 12 noon designated to be available for open play by CA members and guests, trying to be more welcoming to potential new members. The example of pickleball was mentioned. To be explored.
The number to call to find out
what the status of the courts, with regard to rain etc., is listed in the
Greater Sun City Center Membership Directory phone book on page 5 under
